In this, I've used the pattern stamp to create most of the overlay on the priginal image. I'm having great fun with sxc.hu and the miullions of stocks there. I used an angel image then did a bit of manipulation on it to make it really dark then I went searching for images to do with wood then I extracted some patterns from 2 images and used them in the final result you see here + a shit load of smoothing on the textures so they don't look even worse then what they already are )meaning that I know this looks crap but I'm just trying this out).

Help me out here with some comments :D :D :D.

I rally lke what you've done here. I like the "noise" in the image. A good friend of mine who is a designer and shoot book covers for publishers alwasy says, "in th end, if something is not quite working, add noise."
;)
You can take mediocre elements, and turn them int a more artful presentation by adding some noise.
Sure.
That isn't "pure" photography. but I am no purist.
That is one of the beauties of digital art.
You can take elements that are less than perfect and turn them into something wonderful.
You say "crap".
I say "art."

:)

I know exatly what ur saying (mind due I still think the image is crap) but I do know what u mean about the noise detail and the outside effect was almost exatly what I was going for there so yeah. thankyou for your kind comment anyway :D :D :D.
